Kris at Muerto Fitness is outstanding. I have an old back and hip injury as well as I am developing tendinitis from they physical work that I do. Kris has been very patient and understanding when tailoring my workouts. I feel very comfortable around her and trust her fully. Training with Kris has totally exceeded my expectations! I have to admit at first I was a little intimidated by training and all the equipment at the gym that I had never used before, but Kris immediately made me feel comfortable and in good hands. I’ve worked with a number of trainers over the past few years and I’ve never been able to “keep at it” and maintain my motivation...until Krista! She has completely tailored my workouts to target the areas I would like to work on, keeps me on track (I like to talk a lot haha and tend to break out into dancing mid-workout), and challenges me when she sees I can push a bit harder. You can book with her at a great gym she trains out of, or she can come to you, which I’m a huge fan of, especially for early morning sessions! She is always so prepared and her energy level is amazing. I love to run, play tennis and volleyball, and never thought I would say excited and gym in the same sentence, but here we are! She genuinely cares about all of her clients and will make your goals her goals. In Oct 2018 I got into an accident that progressed to a mild hip injury. I had a goal to run the BMO marathon in May 2019. My training only consisted of running so I had hired Krista 1-2 times a week to work with me on building my other muscles as I knew she was familiar with injuries. I was so impressed with her attention to detail, her knowledge of the body, retaining the information I had shared with her in previous sessions and her training style. She’s also very knowledgeable in health and nutrition. She’s a fantastic trainer and what I love about working with her the most is that she is emotionally connected to her clients well being. I have been working with Kris for almost two years now. It has been a journey having not been consistently at the gym since before kids. She is conscious of total health and consistently thinks about more than just your physical fitness regime - sleep, mental wellness, and diet are all part of the conversation. For the training she listens and challenges with the design of each program. You will sweat, you will experience pain, you might swear, and you will see real progress! In the last four months we have moved from the gym to working remotely and after some apprehension on my part, the transition was seamless. Kris has an amazing eye for the detail of a movement and can watch you movement, coach and explain as though she is right in the room with you.
