
When you wake up in the morning, what is the first thing you do? Grab your phone? Wobble into your kitchen to pour yourself a cup of coffee and gulp it down like its liquid life (because it is)?
WRONG MOVE.
Why? Because when you've been sleeping your body has become naturally dehydrated regardless of how much water you drank before bed. When you drink water right upon wake on an empty stomach, your body wakes up its cell and organ function. It stimulates an internal toxin detox from the repair work your body has just completed while you were sleeping, boosts metabolism, clears skin, fuels your brain (that is 75% water!), keeps your bodily functions regular, relieves constipation, prevents and cures disease to name a few!
Pretty impactful from a simple morning step right?
Test yourself. When you go to sleep tonight, have a glass full of 3 cups of room temperature water ready for you to drink when you wake. Then when you wake, chug that bad boy down and wait about 15 mins before that cup of liquid life (coffee) hits your lips. Track how you feel for two weeks straight. We bet you will notice some happy results!
