We are sure you all knew this topic was going to pop up because of what our profession is, but that's because it's such a massive part of self-care! We also know that we could go on and on about all the benefits of moving, but we figured no one would have time to read an entire novel for one blog post, so we will keep it simple and sweet.
We need to move our body regularly to encourage a healthy life. Mental, emotional, and physical health are all tied to how our bodies react when we move. Happy and relaxing hormones are created and released, stress and anxiety are dispelled, and our organs function the way our body intended them to.
One thing to always keep in mind is that our ability to move is a PRIVILEGE. Accidents, age, and illness can take that privilege away in a second, so it's incredibly important for us to never take it for granted.
Going for a walk, stretching, playing with your kids, hitting the gym, to going for a run are all ways in which we can move every day, and we should always strive to take advantage of those opportunities. You will age healthier and happier, you will explore and enjoy more, and overall the quality of your life will be great.
So what are you waiting for? Get moving!
